I've really been slacking on my Spanish... hoping that I'll get more motivated and Gerardo can help me learn more words and phrases. I'm not sure if its true but I feel like my Spanish hasn't been improving since I moved here in June. Probably because I've been speaking so much English at work (I speak some Spanish but not as much as English). Luckily, Gerardo and I speak mostly Spanish unless he's practicing his English...but blah. I don't feel myself improving which doens't feel good - especially since that was one of my main goals of moving here.
So.... here's my 10 words for today - mostly all Peruvian "jerga" aka slang... it helps me understand Gerardo's friends more since speaking with jerga can sound like another language in itself...

The Purpose
So the purpose of this blog is for me to keep track of all the vocabulary I'm learning while I'm in Lima. Note cards help as well, but this is going to help me for the times that I lose my note-cards and want to remember everything I've studied in the past. Basically, this blog is for my own memory's sake, but if you feel like it helps you, then go right ahead and read on ;)
